BaltimoreCivicCenter opened in October of 1962 at 201 West Baltimore Street in downtown Baltimore. It has housed nearly all professional indoor sports in Baltimore since then. During the 1960’s and 70’s, CHL games were played on Saturday afternoons prior to the AHL Baltimore Clippers’ games. In 1986 the name was changed to the Baltimore Arena. In 2003 the name was again changed to the 1st Mariner Arena.
